Steinbeck city seeks branding guru

The Californian city of Salinas, home to the museum dedicated to Nobel award-winning American novelist John Steinbeck, is seeking a consultant to lead a community branding initiative.

SALINAS, CA: The Californian city of Salinas, home to the museum dedicated to Nobel award-winning American novelist John Steinbeck, is seeking a consultant to lead a community branding initiative.

The city posted an RFP on its website outlining the role. The chosen branding consultant will collaborate with community stakeholders such as Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce, the National Steinbeck Center and other organizations. Economic development director Jeffrey Weir is heading the RFP process.

Salinas is located in California's central coast region and has a population of roughly 150,000. All proposals are due by September 7.
