Internet telephony firm Skype filed with US regulators on Monday to raise up to $100 million in an early offering of American equity shares.

Internet telephony firm Skype filed with US regulators on Monday to raise up to $100 million in an early offering of American equity shares.

The Luxembourg-based company told the US Securities and Exchange Commission in a preliminary prospectus that Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, and Morgan Stanley were the lead underwriters for the IPO.

Skype, which boasts 560 million registered users, did not reveal how many American depository shares it plans to sell or their expected price.

The company plans to file for the listing on the Nasdaq Global Select Market.
