NEW YORK: Peppercom named Ted Birkhahn president of the agency and signed three new licensing clients.
Previously COO, Birkhahn will now focus more on serving clients in this newly created position and will work to develop new service offerings for the agency, manage integration between the company's three offices, and build existing practice areas.
Birkhahn, 35, was recently named on PRWeek's prestigious 2010 40 Under 40 list. He reports directly to managing partners and co-founders Steve Cody and Ed Moed. The vacant position of COO will not be filled.
Additionally, the agency hired Richard Ouyang and Heather Dueitt on its PepperDigital team. Ouyang, previously a digital strategist at Ketchum, will serve as associate director of digital strategy, and Dueitt will be a digital SAE.
Separately, Peppercom's Brand Squared Licensing division added three clients: nonprofit Dress for Success, Moe's Southwest Grill restaurant, and haircare company Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific. The agency will develop, execute, and manage strategic licensing agreements for all three clients, and Peppercom will provide PR support to highlight the new licensing partnerships developed.
