LONDON: HSBC says the departure of Tracy Britton, previously head of group marketing for the global bank, will not affect communications and PR, as they are separate functions.

Britton left the company this week to pursue other opportunities.

HSBC provided a statement to PRWeek: "Tracy has decided to end her assignment as head of group marketing, and she will be leaving her position and relocating back to the United States. Chris Clark will assume her group marketing responsibilities on an interim basis while continuing in his role as head of group customer experience."
