ATLANTA, GA: Vitrue has unveiled a software interface it says allows PR pros to maximize usage of social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter.
The Vitrue Social Relationship Management Platform enables users to generate a tailored brand experience through customized Facebook wall apps that deliver content directly to fans' newsfeeds. In addition, the service allows users to manage tabs and include their own video and audio content.
Although the API service is initially free, license fees apply once the fan/follower base goes above 100. The service has been picked up by 50 firms from across the media industry, about 15-20% of which are PR-focused.
One of these PR firms is Ogilvy's 360 Digital Influence. Commenting on the service in a release, John Bell, MD said Vitrue has "tackled the challenge of managing the social web presence for big brands that have real-world issues like regional offices, local franchises and more" and that Ogilvy is now "managing ongoing conversations via these platforms and they continue to push their own products to make it easier for brands to act socially.”
Reggie Bradford, Vitrue CEO said: "Social media has become a great resource for PRs to manage and take part in conversations. This service allows PRs to differentiate and innovate in ways that weren't available before, and offers more engagement.”
