ROCHESTER, NY: Bausch & Lomb has appointed Attention as its first social media agency AOR following a competitive three-way pitch process.
The agency's brief encompasses “listening and contributing to the social media dialog between Bausch & Lomb consumers and healthcare professionals,” according to Jane Mazur, the contact lens company's VP of PR, global/North American Vision Care.
Mazur confirmed that Attention is on a monthly retainer and will provide support for several of Bausch & Lomb's products, including Biotrue contact lens solution and SofLens daily disposable lenses.
Curtis Hougland, president and founder of Attention, will lead the social media effort for Bausch & Lomb, with day-to-day support from a dedicated team.
Mazur added, “We are excited to talk about our franchise in lens and lens care in a new and exciting way. Previously, we had dipped our toe in the water with some Facebook and Twitter initiatives, but this is our chance to really get involved with the dialog that is happening.”
