WALTHAM, MA: MyMediaInfo is gearing up to launch a standalone social media influencer database that will allow users to research, track and react to blogger, journalist and commentator activity.
The product, which will launch at this fall's PRSA International Conference, allows users to prioritize their communications based on daily updated influencer ratings. In addition, users can customize the service with their own keywords and chose which areas of social media to focus on.
The new service was launched to MyMediaInfo subscribers this summer, but from October will be available as a standalone product priced at $2,000 and upwards per annum.
Eric Hill, president of MyMediaInfo, said the product differs from others in the marketplace because its measurement model combines technology such as Alexa and Technorati with human editors. He added: “By combining traditional research with automated ratings the product is much more in-depth and scalable than what is currently out there.”
The new offer is the latest in a series of launches for the four-year old MyMediaInfo, which earlier this year unveiled a social media database and iPhone App. Hill said the firm, whose clients include New York-based PR agency Nike Communications and Propheta, is growing at a rate of 300% per year and has 195 staff in offices across the US and India.
