INDIANAPOLIS: BohlsenPR, headed by Vicki Bohlsen, launched its website and officially opened the doors to its office yesterday.
Since changing its name from TrendyMindsPR to BohlsenPR in January, the firm added clients Author Solutions, iUniverse, Trafford and Author House, Sigma Theta Tau International, Spirit & Place Festival, SAVU, West Bow, AuthorHive, Eiteljorg Museum, Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, Ocean's Reach, Christiana Care and Rainbow's End.
In August, the firm started working with Rib America Festival, The Vogue, Patrick Kolts, musicpix.net and Piere's Entertainment Center. Through its Back2Business program the firm also added pro bono work with Indy Winter Farmer's Market, Timmy Foundation and Hoosier Environmental Council. The program helps businesses and organizations get back to business by providing 20 hours of free PR.
With strong growth in the first half of the year, Bohlsen said that now the site and office is up and running the firm will look to develop its event and entertainment business with the help of development/PR director Andy Wilson.
“We don't want to go down the path of being an event and entertainment niche firm, but we will be looking to expand that area,” Bohlsen said.
Over the next six to 12 months, Bohlsen said she aims to continue the momentum by adding clients and expanding current relationships.
“Now we've laid all the groundwork we can focus on growing business and our client list," added Bohlsen. "We don't want to be the biggest firm in the world, or even the city, we just want to be a firm that knows we can do what we do well.”
