NEW YORK: Bloomberg hired Rob Harles as global head of social media, a new position within the company. Harles was previously VP of social media at Sears, where he started the retailer's social media initiatives three years ago.
"Rob will oversee the development of an integrated social media platform to deliver more ways to connect with Bloomberg's expanding products and services," said Ty Trippet, director of PR for Bloomberg News, in an e-mail statement to PRWeek. “He will collaborate with individual business units to create strategic social media initiatives across the company.”
Harles started at the company in late August.
