Eliason, previously director of digital care at Comcast, started in July as SVP of social media on Citigroup's North America Internet and mobile team. In his new role, Eliason will lead consumer-facing social media efforts for Citi and manage the banking and insurance group's presence on blogs and networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Additionally, Steven Cohen, formerly SVP of corporate public affairs for Citigroup, left the company for Goldman Sachs. Cohen confirmed to PRWeek he started at Goldman about three weeks ago in its media relations department.

Earlier this week, Fitch Ratings announced the hiring of Dan Noonan, previously MD of global communications for Citigroup, as MD and global head of corporate communications.

In March, Ed Skyler moved over from his role as deputy mayor of New York City to become EVP of global public affairs for Citigroup.
