mBlast aims to blast away tired media lists

ATLANTA, GA: Marketing applications maker mBlast unveiled a media list tool called MediaSync that identifies and precision targets market influencers.

ATLANTA, GA:  Marketing applications maker mBlast unveiled a media list tool called MediaSync that identifies and precision targets market influencers.

The company said the free tool helps marketers and PR pros better target relevant bloggers and journalists instead of blasting e-mails and press releases to reporters.

“Considering a reporter's basic contact information of email, address and phone number is readily available on the web today, we believe that charging for this data has run its course,” said mBlast CEO Gary Lee.

MediaSync has over 500,000 media contacts, with that number increasingly weekly the company said. The online tool allows users to browse the entire online clip file of a journalist or blogger from an updated database of over nine million articles and blogs.

Other features of the product allow users to stay updated on important editorial calendars and future media prospects.
