Nonprofits add CMO positions

DALLAS AND MEMPHIS: ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital hired Susan G. Komen for the Cure's Emily Callahan as CMO, while Komen promoted Katrina McGhee to EVP and CMO.

DALLAS AND MEMPHIS: ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital hired Susan G. Komen for the Cure's Emily Callahan as CMO, while Komen promoted Katrina McGhee to EVP and CMO.

At ALSAC/St. Jude, Callahan will take on the new position of CMO on October 4, overseeing all marketing, PR, communications, branding, advertising, multicultural marketing, interactive and other duties for the organization.

McGhee, previously SVP of global business development and partnerships at Susan G. Komen for the Cure, will now serve as the top marketer, a position previously held by Callahan, who was SVP of global marketing and networks. In taking over the new CMO role, McGhee will now manage global marketing, communications, events, and multicultural marketing, in addition to her work with business strategies, partnerships, and cause marketing programs.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure also announced the promotion of Elizabeth Thompson, SVP of medical and scientific affairs, to president, where she will manage McGhee.
