NEW YORK: Financial services PR firm Cognito Media launched Cognito Analytics, a product that allows clients to track and compare their PR footprint to competitors.
The web-based tool provides graphs, pie charts and other data to customers, outlining the client's nature and quality of their PR profile in the marketplace, the impact of their news, and how their profile evolves all in benchmark to competitors. The data is collected from financial media.
Cognito Media CEO Tom Coombes said the agency adheres to the “West Coast” philosophy of PR, which is a “data-driven and metrics approach,” he said.
“This is a logical extension of that,” Coombes said. “We offer our clients transparency in what is going into their own PR campaign.”
The product, Cognito Analytics, had been in the works for about a year and was developed with the support and feedback of 20 clients Coombes said.
