Entergy's Wiese to retire

NEW ORLEANS: Arthur Wiese, VP of corporate communications for Entergy, will retire November 30. The company has not yet named a successor.

Wiese joined Entergy in 2000 as VP of corporate communications and divides his time between New Orleans and Washington. He reports to EVP and chief administrative officer Rod West. The position currently has seven direct reports and approximately 60 overall reports. The company had no other information about the search for Wiese's replacement or if the position or communications will change under a new leader.

During Wiese's time at Entergy, the company earned several communications accolades, particularly around responses to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, including from PRWeek and PRSA.

Prior to Entergy, Wiese worked for the American Petroleum Institute as VP of public affairs, and prior to that, was a journalist covering the White House.
