NEW YORK: The Universal Accreditation Board announced that 16 candidates completed the computer-based examination for accreditation in PR and 8 candidates passed the examination in September.
The 50% passing rate is down from a 70% passing rate in August and an 80% passing rate in July.
There were 16 candidate applications approved by the board in September, 24 candidates participating in readiness review, and 21 candidates that advanced from readiness review.
Anne Dubois, chairman of the board, said that third quarter results revealed more than double the number of readiness review candidates over September 2009 and from an annual perspective the board is on target to reach its goals in applications, readiness reviews, number of candidates completing examination, and new programming.
For the first quarter of 2010, the board reported a 26% drop in professionals taking the exam and an 11.6% drop in those passing it over first quarter 2009.
