As the director of marketing communications, Christine has oversight for Public Relations, Social Media and Health & Wellness Marketing for Unilever's U.S. portfolio of foods and personal care brands, which include some of the world's most iconic marks: Dove, Lipton, Vaseline, Hellmann's, Suave, Axe, Breyer's, Ragu and twenty more.
Working closely with the company's brand marketers and public relations and social media agency partners, Christine and her team, provide the spectrum of communications counsel, ranging from strategy development and program stewardship to media relations and issues management. Christine has and continues to lead word-of-mouth and social media initiatives for the company, both with stakeholders to operationalize the enterprise as well as with the company's brand marketing teams to generate earned media and foster consumer engagement.
Christine has a career-spanning specialty in consumer lifestyle PR and integrated communications. She has held senior management positions at global PR consultancies in both New York and London, including tenure as a consumer marketing practice head just prior to joining Unilever in 2006. Christine serves on the board of directors of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.
