LANHAM, MD: Vocus reported $24.7 million in revenue for the third quarter, a year-over-year 17% increase, aided by new customer subscriptions.
Non-GAAP profit from operations for the third quarter was $3.9 million for the quarter, down from $4 million for the same period last year. The quarter ended September 30.
During the quarter, the company inked 579 new subscribers to its products, compared to 240 in the same period last year. The company now has a total 7,752 active subscribers.
Vocus CEO Rick Rudman said the company's just launched social media monitoring software drove much of the new subscription growth.
“While we are very pleased with our financial results, perhaps more exciting is the demand we are seeing for our recently launched social media software which underscores a fundamental shift in PR and marketing toward a more integrated approach focused on earned visibility and social networks,” he said in the earnings release.
The public company anticipates fourth quarter revenue to be in the range of $25.6 to $25.8 million.
