A recent study by Weber Shandwick and executive search firm Spencer Stuart looks at where the CCO role stands today and how it will evolve. Conducted online in May and June 2010, the survey was taken by 127 senior corporate comms pros in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, 78% of whom work for Fortune 500 companies. These results outline the tools and functions expected to increase or decrease the most dramatically in the upcoming year, as well as how CCOs differ by region.
