WASHINGTON: Twitter has hired Adam Sharp as manager of government and political partnerships, starting in November.
Sharp, most recently the executive producer of digital services at C-SPAN, is Twitter's first Washington hire. Sean Garrett, VP of communications at Twitter, said in an e-mail that there are no other plans to hire staff in Washington at this time. Sharp's role will be to assist policymakers and government agencies with their use of Twitter. He reports to general counsel Alexander Macgillivray.
