PHILADELPHIA: Comcast issued an RFP seeking a PR agency for strategy, planning, social media, media, and analyst relations and measurement for its Business Class products.
The job includes a specific focus on the Ethernet data and voice services the company is rolling out to businesses this year and in 2011, according to the RFP obtained by PRWeek. Comcast declined to comment.
Sources familiar with the RFP said the search process is entering the final decision stage, and that it's at least a seven-figure annual account.The RFP states that a decision will be made no later than this week.
“While Comcast's Business Class PR efforts to date have focused on the small business segment, we would like to identify an agency that can help us build a foundation and strategic communications program that focuses our PR efforts on medium-sized businesses interested in purchasing our Ethernet service offerings,” the RFP says.
The work is for Comcast's US Business Services market.
