WASHINGTON: Brunswick Group hired Mark Seifert, senior adviser to the deputy secretary at the Department of Commerce, as a partner in its Washington office, effective November 29.
Seifert is a former deputy division chief at the Federal Communications Commission and Counsel for the House Commerce Committee.
The firm also announced that it had named Erik Hotmire, a senior adviser at the Securities Exchange Commission, as a director in the Washington office. Hotmire will report to David Sutphen and Michele Davis, co-managing partners at Brunswick, when he starts December 6. Hotmire, a former special assistant to President George W. Bush, also worked for Clark & Weinstock as a director.
