NEW YORK: FD hired Ryan Toohey, Eliot Spitzer's gubernatorial campaign manager, and promoted two executives in Washington, following the departure of Debra Cabral to Porter Novelli.
Cabral, most recently senior MD of public affairs and GM of FD's Washington office, was named EVP, a new position in Porter Novelli's Washington office. She started November 11.
In her new role, Cabral reports to Kiki McLean, global head of public affairs and MD of Porter Novelli Public Services. Cabral's responsibilities include new business and managing client relationships.
FD promoted Jackson Dunn, most recently an MD at FD and a former aide to President Bill Clinton, to practice lead of public affairs. The firm also promoted Brent McGoldrick, SVP and leader of public affairs research at FD, to GM of the firm's Washington office.
Toohey, most recently a partner at Global Strategy Group, started November 1 as a managing director in the firm's special situations and public affairs practices.
He is based in New York and reports to Mark McCall, president and COO of FD Americas.
