A “a person of interest” in the recent murder case of Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen committed suicide after police tried to search his apartment building, police authorities told reporters. The Los Angeles Times, which broke the story Wednesday evening, reported that the man told a neighbor that "he was supposed to be getting $10,000, at one point saying it was for a job he did and on another occasion saying it was from a lawsuit."
Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police Department held a press conference late Wednesday. He said that his department's investigation into the Chasen shooting is ongoing.
On Nov. 16, Chasen was shot five times while driving home from the Burlesque premiere afterparty.
