SAN FRANCISCO: Brunswick Group hired Joe Carberry, most recently president of the western region for MSLGroup, as a partner in its San Francisco office.
The firm opened the San Francisco office three years ago and has a client list that includes Cisco, Gap, Intel, McKesson, and Visa. Carberry worked for Visa as head of global public affairs when it transitioned to a public company.
“Visa is a significant client of the firm and Joe can come in and hit the ground running. He understands all the constituents,” said Michael Buckley, also a partner in the San Francisco office.
Buckley said the hire was made to keep pace with the growth of the San Francisco office and the firm as a whole.
Carberry has already started in the position. He also previously worked at Fleishman-Hillard as an account supervisor and as press secretary for San Diego Mayor Susan Golding.
