NEW YORK: Financial services firm Raymond James named Dukas Public Relations its AOR.
Richard Dukas, president and CEO of the firm, said the win is its largest in terms of recognizable brand and size of the account, though he declined to disclose details. The firm was awarded the account after an RFP process.
“This adds tremendous credibility for us in terms of recruitment and new business,” Dukas said on the overall significance of the account for the firm.
For Raymond James, the agency will concentrate on media outreach and media coaching and training. In working with financial and professional service clients, Dukas said the focus differs from the push for digital other PR agencies are seeing.
“I have a strong philosophy as to what financial clients should be getting from agencies. Serious investors are not going on Facebook and Twitter looking for investment ideas. Financial clients want media,” he explained.
Steve Hollister, PR manager for Raymond James, said in a statement the company was looking for a NY-based firm to support its earned media efforts. Dukas said the company has been making a series of investments in its brand by recently becoming a network sponsor of the Major League Baseball World Series and the American and National League Championship Series. It has also had the naming rights to the home of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 1998.
