In a press release, the company said the cereals will have lower sugar content of nine grams per serving and all Pebbles brand cereal will be cholesterol free, a source of vitamin D, low fat, will provide 10 essential vitamins and minerals, and will be Gluten free.

The changes are part of the company's “ongoing effort to address the rise in nutritional concerns among American consumers,” the release said.

Post Foods is also working with the Children's Food & Beverage Advertising Initiative, a program launched by the Council of Better Business Bureaus to change the mix of advertising messages directed to children under 12 to include healthier choices.
