LAS VEGAS: Tropicana Las Vegas issued an RFP in its search for an agency to support the brand amid a $180 million renovation.
The company distributed the RFP to West Coast-based PR agencies, followed by an RFI issued in late December. Shelley Mansholt, VP of PR for Tropicana Las Vegas, confirmed that it's currently in the selection process and expects to make a decision by the end of the month.
According to the RFI, the brand asked for a capabilities deck with information related to entertainment, nightclub, and restaurant experience.
The renovations are be completed now through Spring 2011 and include new rooms, a casino, restaurants, conference center, entertainment concepts, and South Beach-themed updates. Its new Nikki Beach property, slated to open in the spring, will include a restaurant, outdoor cafe and bar, swim up blackjack, sand volleyball courts, and a private island in the center of a pool.
