NEW YORK: Dawn Bridges, Time Inc.'s SVP of corporate communications and press relations, announced her exit from the company, following a transition period. The departure comes on the heels of the recent appointment of Jack Griffin this past fall as CEO.
Bridges, a 25-year-plus PR veteran, was instrumental in the Plame/CIA leak investigation in 2005, as previously reported by PRWeek. Before joining Time Inc. in 2004, Bridges worked in communications at Warner Music Group, EMI and Polygram. She will remain at Time Inc. through the end of the month.
Bridges declined to comment further on her next endeavor.
Since Griffin has come on board, he has hired Randall Rothenberg as the company's first chief digital officer, Paul Caine as chief revenue officer and Stephanie George as chief marketing officer. Last month, he divided Time Inc.'s magazine division into two groups—sports (Sports Illustrated) and news (Time, Fortune and Money). A search is underway for Bridges successor.
