Facebook has yet to name a replacement for Brandee Barker, who left the company last month as director of corporate communications.
“Brandee's responsibilities have been divided up on the team, but no formal replacement to talk about,” said Facebook's spokesman Larry Yu in an e-mail.
In November, Barker announced she was leaving her post at Facebook to start her own consultancy after heading up PR at the company for roughly the last four and half years. Her last day was December 10.
Perhaps more than ever the world is watching Facebook. The company is attracting big private investors and intense speculation of an IPO is shrouding the company.
Earlier reporting places size of the Facebook PR team at about 20 people.
