NEW YORK: Hill & Knowlton confirmed that MaryLee Sachs is leaving the firm.
Sachs, chair and director of the worldwide marketing communications practice, has worked for the WPP agency since 1984. She was not immediately available for comment.
Lori Robinson, SVP of marketing communications at Hill & Knowlton, confirmed Sachs is to leave the firm. She said the agency's senior management will address finding a replacement and that regional leaders in the marketing communications practice will handle Sachs' responsibilities on an interim basis.
Hill & Knowlton global CEO Paul Taaffe was not immediately available for comment.
Sachs' departure follows a number of recent significant structural changes at the firm.
In November, the firm announced it was merging with sister WPP Group agency Public Strategies, naming Public Strategies' Dan Bartlett president and CEO of H&K US. Jack Martin, founder and chairman of Public Strategies, became global executive chairman of H&K. Earlier today, it was announced that H&K's CMO Tony Burgess-Webb plans to retire in February.
