HP schedules hearing on Hurd investigation

Hewlett-Packard has proposed an investigation into the resignation of Mark Hurd and the exit package he received.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the investigation is in response to a demand from a shareholder and it will be conducted by outside lawyers and HP board members who joined the board after Hurd resigned.

CEO Leo Apotheker and chairman Ray Lane are the only two board members that joined after Hurd resigned.

A hearing on the proposal is scheduled for next week, the article reported.
