WASHINGTON: The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace named Tom Carver VP of strategy and communications, effective February 18.

Carver, a former Washington correspondent for the BBC and most recently SVP at Chlopak, Leonard, Schechter and Associates, will report to Jessica Mathews, president of the Carnegie Endowment. He replaces Peter Reid, who joined AGT International in August 2010, although Carver said his role has been expanded to include strategy.
