The New York Times undergoes changes in corporate comms

NEW YORK: The New York Times Company has experienced a few changes in its corporate communications department.

Eileen Murphy was hired as VP of corporate communications effective December 20. She will run the communications strategy and day-to-day operations for The New York Times Media Group worldwide. Murphy reports to SVP of corporate communications Robert Christie.  Diane McNulty will oversee the communications strategy for New England Media Group and will direct an expanded community affairs department as executive director of corporate communications. Abbe Serphos will direct PR for the corporate communications group. The changes went into effect January 1.

The New York Times is currently preparing to roll out its new online paywall system.
