ROCHESTER, NY: Mike McDougall said he plans to leave his role as VP of corporate communications and public affairs at Bausch & Lomb, following a transition that will likely extend through the first quarter.

McDougall said it was “time to seek something else.”

Before joining the eye care company in 2007, McDougall held positions at Eastman Kodak Company and Buck & Pulleyn.

Bausch & Lomb is conducting an internal and external search to find a replacement for the role that McDougall will vacate.

McDougall also confirmed that a pitch “specific to a pharmaceuticals product” is currently underway although he declined to say which product or which agencies are involved. The company's pharmaceuticals unit provides products that treat glaucoma, allergies, conjunctivitis, dry eye, and retinal diseases.
