WASHINGTON: PhRMA tapped Josephine Martin as EVP of public affairs, overseeing communications and alliance development.
Martin, SVP of public affairs at Ketchum, will report to John Castellani, president and CEO of the trade group, when she starts March 1. She replaces Mimi Simoneaux Kneuer, the EVP of government and public affairs who left PhRMA during a series of executive departures in 2010 that included Billy Tauzin, president and CEO, and Ken Johnson, SVP of communications and public affairs.
Martin has also held senior communications positions at the Federation of American Hospitals, GolinHarris, and the American Red Cross.
