NEW YORK: Ogilvy Public Relations has hired Jennifer Risi as EVP of 360 Degree Media Influence and director of content creation.
Risi was most recently EVP and co-founder of the Global Strategic Media Practice at Weber Shandwick. The role is an expansion of an existing role previously held by Jane Mazur, who is now VP of PR for Bausch & Lomb. In the new role, Risi will provide strategic counsel and direction on global media relations, brand innovation, and CEO positioning as well as create campaigns to help clients navigate the global media environment.
"The future of our business is really about how you can offer an integrated marketing approach to clients today and being able to partner with the multiple parts of the Ogilvy family from Ogilvy & Mather to Ogilvy Action," said Risi. "We'll really be able to offer a 360 approach to our clients and being able to be part of that bigger offering was very exciting to me, as well as the fact that from a media relations perspective I think there's really an opportunity to enhance the current offering and to really take it to the here and now. Our world is really about traditional media, new media, social media, and paid media."
At Weber Shandwick, Risi led clients Siemens, MAC AIDS Funds, and Fresh Direct. She also created VOICEBOXX, the firm's service for senior management visibility and positioning.
