The New York Times sent out a letter to readers today outline its new paywall structure.
The letter, signed by publisher Arthur Sulzberger, says digital subscriptions will be rolled out today to readers in Canada, which will allow the Times to “fine-tune the customer experience before our global launch.”
Digital subscriptions will be launched in the US on March 28.
Home deliver subscribers will continue to have full and free access. Non-subscribers can view 20 article free each month before being asked to become a digital subscriber. Smartphone and tablet apps and the Top News section will remain free. There will be three digital subscription packages to choose from.
