NEW YORK: Ricochet Public Relations appointed David Kalson, former executive MD of RF Binder, as CEO, effective immediately.
Kalson replaces president and founder Todd Aydelotte in the CEO role. Meanwhile, Aydelotte will take on chief of new business duties, and maintain his role as president and founder.
Kalson's career spans 20-plus years of experience in strategic client counsel, issues and crisis management, corporate brands and product positioning, and internal communications. His industry knowledge includes the scientific, energy, and environmental sectors.
"This gives me the opportunity to really lead the organization in the areas I like the most," Kalson said. "One of the other things I've been able to do over the years is develop a practice in issues and crisis management, and I think that is applicable, not just in science- and engineering-related companies, but it really cuts across all business sectors. I'm looking to develop that here, as well, in addition to the standard operation procedures at Ricochet."
Ricochet PR primarily works with clients on stakeholder communications and reputation management. The agency's clients include Waste Management, Orbital Sciences, Agendia, and Ascent Corporation.
