Lawrence promoted to chief digital strategist at Burson-Marsteller

NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller promoted Dallas Lawrence from MD of digital public affairs to chief global digital strategist, where he joins the business operations team.

NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller promoted Dallas Lawrence from MD of digital public affairs to chief global digital strategist, where he joins the business operations team.

Lawrence, who joined the firm in May 2010, will report to Mark Penn, worldwide CEO. Before Burson-Marsteller, Lawrence chaired the social and digital media practice for Washington, DC-based Levick Strategic Communications. He also served as VP for new media at the National Association of Manufacturers. In addition, Lawrence worked for President George W. Bush's communications team, representing the White House and two cabinet members, as well as director of the office of community relations and public liaison for the United States Department of Defense. He also served as director of regional media outreach and spokesperson for Ambassador L. Paul Bremer, and the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq.
