SAN FRANCISCO: has named Glodow Nead Communications (GNC) its AOR. The agency will begin work on a strategic, multi-pronged PR campaign around the online service.

"With the strategic support of Glodow Nead Communications, we hope to connect with a broad range of brides-to-be, newlyweds, and couples via traditional PR and a strong social media campaign," said Ed Cotton, COO of "We are confident that GNC will help take to a new level, garnering additional exposure in the U.S. and Canada, and unveiling exciting new offerings."

A formal RFP was not issued for the account, however Cotton said there was a selection process that considered four agencies, which he declined to name. There was no incumbent for, which launched its services in 2004. Cotton would not comment on budget.

GNC director Jennifer Myres said's presence in 35 countries will help leverage the agency's footprint in the travel industry. GNC's other hospitality clients include W Retreat & Spa Bali, PlumpJack Winery, The Carneros Inn, Rosewood Sand Hill, and St. Regis.

"We are currently conducting a brand audit, developing key messaging, and establishing a social media presence for, which we will work to develop a following for among multiple social media platforms," she said.

In the coming months, GNC will be doing PR for a new office in Canada to further the brand's presence as a specialist in the industry. The firm will also begin promoting the launch of an exclusive platinum destination wedding planning offering.
