Slaby rejoins Obama's team

NEW YORK: Michael Slaby, EVP and global practice chair of Edelman's digital practice, has left the company to work on President Barack Obama's reelection campaign. Slaby was previously technology director for Obama's transition team.

NEW YORK: Michael Slaby, EVP and global practice chair of the Edelman's digital practice, has left the company to work on President Barack Obama's reelection campaign. Slaby was previously technology director for Obama's transition team.

Slaby's responsibilities will be assumed by Kevin King, who has been named global practice chair. Other changes at Edelman include the appointments of David Armano and Steve Rubel to global leadership roles within the firm's digital practice, effective immediately.  Armano and Rubel both have been named EVP to newly created roles: Armano for global innovation and intregration and Rubel for global strategy and insights.

All three report to Alan VanderMolen, president and CEO, global practices and diversified insights businesses.
