Ketchum's Drechsler heads to NY to lead financial comms

NEW YORK: Marc Drechsler, co-founder of the Ketchum Pleon financial unit, has relocated to New York from Germany to oversee Ketchum's financial communications offering.

NEW YORK: Marc Drechsler, co-founder of the Ketchum Pleon Financial unit, has relocated to New York from Germany to oversee Ketchum's financial communications offering.

Drechsler, SVP of financial communications, joins the firm's international group, which is led by Paul Cohen.

In 2004, Drechsler founded Pleon Financial along with Juergen Herres. There, Drechsler worked on a number of transactions, including Deutsche Postbank's IPO offering in 2004, and Bayer AG's acquisition of Schering AG in 2006. Prior to Pleon, he worked at Citigate Dewe Rogerson, an international financial communications agency, and Commerzbank in New York.
