PARIS: Publicis Groupe has reported that first-quarter 2011 revenue is up about 11% year-on-year, including net new business of nearly $2 billion.

Part of the company's US growth can be attributed to MSLGroup's Q1 account wins for Home Depot, the single-serve coffee company Keurig, the breakfast cereal Special K and the genealogical website Ancestry.com.

Other drivers of this growth was continued business momentum in Europe, especially in France, a comeback in Germany, and robust performance in a number of emerging-market economies, according to Publicis.

North American revenue* for Q1 2011 was $920 million compared to $843 million year-on-year.

A breakdown of revenue by sector showed a 49% increase in specialized marketing services, which includes PR and all digital holdings, followed by 32% in advertising and 19% in media activities.
