Headcount increased 15.5% globally to 291. Staff turnover was 20%. Key global hires included Cohn & Wolfe's Alison Wright and Shire Health International's Anne-Marie Rodriguez. HealthEd Digital's Jos Stella was hired to lead digital and social media at Biosector 2, which added 24 staffers in all.
In late March of this year, parent company inVentiv Health tapped founder and principal Bob Chandler for the new role of SVP of marcomms. His duties at Chandler Chicco Companies are unchanged.
The company, which focuses on healthcare, says 55% of its wins in 2010 had business in three or more countries. It continues to work with long-time clients including Abbott, Allergan, and CareFusion.
For 2011, it has netted 14 wins. Chandler says the acquisition of inVentiv by private equity firm Thomas H. Lee Partners is fueling global expansion strategy for the company, which owns firms such as Chandler Chicco Agency, Biosector 2, and Allidura.
Chandler Chicco Companies reported a 23.5% leap in US revenue in 2010, as clients increasingly padded budgets with specialized healthcare services.
It won 76 accounts and projects last year, with global revenue up 14.3% to between $50 million and $100 million.
"As reform starts to emerge, it will be crucial to help clients understand the implications," says Chandler. "Digital really helped to grow a global expanse of business for us."
Chandler is also encouraged by Thomas H. Lee Partners, which "has an appetite to help us succeed in other markets," he explains.
