What's new: Former White House writer Francis Kelly takes the helm as head of communications and public affairs at Deutsche Bank Americas
After nearly 10 years at Deutsche Bank Americas, Francis Kelly was promoted to the newly created title of MD and head of communications and public affairs in 2010.
The position is responsible for a variety of team functions, among them internal and external communications, as well as government affairs.
Prior to his new role, Kelly served Deutsche Bank as chief US political risk strategist, MD and head of the Americas' office of government affairs, and head of the US direct investment advisory group. Before Deutsche, Kelly was SVP and head of government affairs at Charles Schwab and Merrill Lynch's VP and head of marcomms.
His experience also spans many government and law enforcement roles, including acting director in the SEC's office of public affairs, policy evaluation and research; assistant to the director in the office of policy development of the US Justice Department, and writer for the president, office of special letters and messages for The White House, for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.
