HOUSTON: Citgo has launched its "Fueling Good," campaign in an ongoing program to recognize non-profit businesses and organizations that impact their communities in positive ways. The campaign will award up to 24 organizations with $5,000 Citgo gift cards that can be used to support their causes.

To be considered for a gift card, non-profits from the 26 states where Citgo operates, including the District of Columbia, can submit their organization's story at www.FuelingGood.com. To be considered, non-profits should do work in the following categories: increasing literacy and education, providing energy assistance and conservation to their communities, protecting and restoring natural habitats, or helping to support health and well-being.

After the non-profits submit their ideas and scope of work to the website, the general public will vote for the entry that they believe is doing the most good to impact the community. Twelve entries will each be awarded with a gift card. A second round of the program, where 12 more non-profits will have the opportunity to win a gift card, will launch on September 1.

Citgo declined to comment on the campaign.
