CHARLOTTE, NC: The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority is rolling out a tourism campaign, and has tapped Eric Mower and Associates to handle its advertising and digital marketing.
The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority's in-house team will execute PR for the summer initiative, called "Charlotte's got a lot," in order to attract travelers to the North Carolina region.
"We selected Eric Mower and Associates due in large part to their vast experience and knowledge working in the hospitality industry, and specifically with destination marketing organizations," said Gina Sheridan, senior director of marketing and visual communications for the Charlotte organization.
Six agencies participated in an RFP that was issued in February. The organization declined to name the agencies involved. BooneOakley, the incumbent agency, was not invited to pitch. The budget for the campaign was not disclosed.
Matt Ferguson, managing partner-in-charge of Eric Mower and Associates' Charlotte office, said the firm would be focusing its support on the leisure, meetings and conventions, and group tour audiences.
The tourism-targeted campaign joins other Eric Mower work for clients, including I Love NY, Asheville Tourism Development Authority, Biltmore Estate, The Grove Park in Resort and Spa, Intercontinental Hotels Group, and Pinehurst Resort.
