NEW YORK: CTIA, an organization representing the wireless communications industry, has selected Finn Partners as its AOR.
The agency, an independent new company within Ruder Finn Group, was selected to promote CTIA in its efforts to boost awareness and strengthen public perception of wireless communications opportunities in North America.
Finn Partners will focus on a series of trade shows, including International CTIA Wireless and CTIA Enterprise and Applications, as part of a broader strategy to emphasize the association's global presence.
The agency will be CTIA's first major PR representation, but it was selected from a competitive field after responding to an RFP.
“They were the most enthusiastic and the most creative,” Rob Mesirow, VP of operations at CTIA, said. “At the end of the day, you have to really ask for the job. And they did.”
Finn Partners will have approximately a dozen staff members from across the nation involved in the contract, reflecting the continent-spanning aspirations of CTIA.
CTIA is a Washington, DC-based trade group founded in 1984 and consists of roughly 700 member companies.
