Ogilvy Chicago grows with four new hires

CHICAGO: Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide's Chicago office has hired four new practice leads in healthcare, corporate communications, technology, and digital influence.

CHICAGO: Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide's Chicago office has hired four new practice leads in healthcare, corporate communications, technology, and digital influence.

Nathan Friedman, MD of Ogilvy PR in Chicago, said the office has recently seen growth across a number of industries, leading to an increased number of assignments from new brands and current clients, as well as networking opportunities.

"Our talent strategy is at the center of our growth and our long-term plan," he added. "New team members continue to support current client development opportunities and serve as the foundation for us to pursue various and different types of marketing communications engagements.”

Pam Montagno, former president of Communication with a Global Perspective, joins the firm as VP and healthcare specialist. She has worked with clients such as Hollister International and the University of Chicago Medical Center. Montagno's previously served as senior manager of corporate communications for Baxter Healthcare Corporation and PR manager for Philips Healthcare.

Meanwhile, Jenny Braga is bringing technology experience on board as a VP. Her background includes product launches, message development, media relations programs, and trade show support for the sector. Braga most recently served as VP at GolinHarris Chicago, where she worked with Dow Microbial Control, the Society of Actuaries, State Farm Insurance Companies, and McDonald's.

Nicole Schoenberg was also hired as VP and will specialize in corporate and technology issues. She joins from Fleishman-Hillard's financial communications practice, where she worked on Aviva USA's crisis management programs and communications for the General Motors IPO. Schoenberg has also handled PR for MF Global, Lund-Waldock, and ADC Communications. She previously held internal positions at Telephone and Data Systems, Inc., and at SPSS, Inc.

Maury Postal was appointed as digital experience director of Ogilvy's Chicago 360° digital influence team. He most recently served as the integrated platforms specialist at Young & Rubicam. Postal was formerly the director of strategy at Carrot Creative, where he worked with Crayola, Ford Motor Company, Hellmann's, PepsiCo, Sears, Wisk, and others.
