TBEX launches travel blogger database

NEW YORK: Looking for a more effective way to connect bloggers with the publicists, agencies and companies that want to work with them, TBEX, a large online community of independent travel bloggers, recently launched TBEX Connect.

The platform is an online database of travel and lifestyle bloggers that provides detailed information on each writer, including social media influence, blog traffic, past media experience, and Google analytics. Subscribers can search the database for bloggers by region, name, category, and a few other terms.

Although the database focuses on travel bloggers, it will soon expand to include lifestyle bloggers across a variety of categories, including culinary, wine, style, and fashion.

Bloggers must apply, pay a $14.99 fee per year, and go through a vetting process in order to be included in the TBEX Connect database. Subscribers are charged $1299 per year, or $149 a month.

Kim Mance, founder of TBEX said that because the bloggers need to apply and opt-in, those who use the database can be confident that the bloggers are legitimate and want to be contacted. She also added that the detailed information in the database allows communications professionals to more effectively target the bloggers they are looking for.

“It will help the industry find influencers quicker and be more confident that they are legitimate,” Mance said.
